This is an exciting time, and I personally know the importance of choosing the right law school. I must share that Carolina Law is not just a law school or a community; Carolina Law is a family and a place I love dearly.
In recent weeks, several UNC School of Law Moot Court and Trial Teams have enjoyed success in prestigious national competitions. Our students have also been involved in planning and hosting competitions at UNC. Regardless of the outcome, our students consistently cite moot court and trial teams as an important way to build confidence and practical skills that will help them in the court room and beyond.
For your reading enjoyment, UNC School of Law has just published the spring/summer 2013 issue of Carolina Law magazine. In this issue we highlight our student externship program (p. 23). You can also learn about our newly reinvigorated moot court program (p.21).
Interested in learning more from current students and recent alumni about how our expanded curricular and extra-curricular activities have prepared them for a successful career? Read “Getting Practical” (p. 18).
We look forward to seeing you on campus in August, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy this taste of what it will be like to be a Carolina Law student.
