Just in time for the new academic year and fall session of Congress, the Library of Congress has announced a number of enhancements to the THOMAS database. Improvements made include a mobile friendly homepage that has been optimized for iPhones and Droids as well as the integration of features from the Law Library of Congress and Library of Congress websites. THOMAS now offers convenient links to state legislature webpages, to allow users to quickly find relevant state statutes available from official government sources. If you still haven't tried Thomas as a stating point for legislative history research, try it out from either your smart phone or a computer. It is a great source for access to official government sources that are freely available on the web. And unlike with Lexis and Westlaw, your tax dollars have already paid for your right to access this legal information!
