October 20-26, 2014 marks the seventh annual celebration of Open Access Week, observed by organizations around the world who have as their mission to make information more available--especially scholarly research and data that can have important impacts on the real world. Law, of course, has a direct and immediate impact on the lives of everyone, and open access to primary and secondary legal authorities has been a major point of emphasis in recent years by governments, advocacy organizations, and law libraries.
For those on campus, UNC Chapel Hill Libraries are sponsoring the following events for Open Access Week 2014, open to all faculty, staff, and students:
