October 20-26, 2014 marks the seventh annual celebration of Open Access Week, observed by organizations around the world who have as their mission to make information more available--especially scholarly research and data that can have important impacts on the real world. Law, of course, has a direct and immediate impact on the lives of everyone, and open access to primary and secondary legal authorities has been a major point of emphasis in recent years by governments, advocacy organizations, and law libraries.
