Law students, you are heavily using our print study aids. Bravo. But don't forget that this year we also have a large online collection through Westlaw Digital Study Aids (WDSA). They have many advantages over print, including that you can:

  • Search the text for a word or phrase
  • Write notes and highlight in the digital books
  • Print your notes (with or without page references)
  • Copy and paste selected text

WDSA titles include the Nutshell series, Gilbert and Blackletter Outlines, Concise Hornbook series, Exam-Pro sample exams, and others. The collection extensively covers 1st year courses, and includes many upper level courses. Take advantage during this second half of our one-year pilot subscription. Law students and faculty can access Westlaw Digital Study Aids by logging onto with your Westlaw username and password.

  • The books are accessible only on the sign-on page, not in Westlaw Next
  • While copyright restrictions prevent downloading, you can print sections of the book
  • The site currently works best with laptops and desktop computers. Mobile function is limited.

For more information or help getting to the collection, contact the reference desk at 919-962-1194.
