New - Cheetah replaces CCH IntelliConnect at UNC Law


The law library has just added Cheetah, a faster, more user-friendly replacement for CCH IntelliConnect. Areas of practice covered by Cheetah include securities, banking, health care, labor, employment and employee benefits, IP, and more.

Cheetah combines primary documents  organized by practice area (laws, regulations, case decisions, etc.) with news, analysis, and practice tools (checklists, guides, practice treatises, charts, etc.).

Law Library Introduces Black Freedom Struggle Collection

The Law Library, Davis Library and the Sonja Haynes Stone Center have just purchased rich digital collections of NAACP, federal government and other organization documents. The collections illuminate the African American struggle to attain equal rights after Reconstruction. Collections span the 1870s to the 1980s.

Law faculty and students mainly work with the Bluebook style manual. But if you need to provide citations in non-law publications, the Chicago Manual of Style is the standard tool. Now you can get to it online 24/7 thanks to the University Libraries.

Current ABA Journals on HeinOnline

The law library has a new subscription to current and past issues of ABA journals via HeinOnline's “ABA Law Library Collection Periodicals,” an expanded Hein ABA journal library. The collection nearly doubles the number and expands the scope of ABA titles available to us. The new collection:

  • Adds 45 more titles, bringing the total to 100
  • Eliminates the “embargo” on recent issues of many ABA publications
  • Includes a number of ABA section periodicals
  • Provides the current issues in full-color PDFs!

North Carolina Pattern Jury Instructions - Now Available Campus Wide

The digital version of the North Carolina Pattern Jury Instructions (NCPJI) is now live campus-wide. UNC faculty and students can also access NCPJI from anywhere they have an internet connection, by using the library link and their Onyen & password.
