Historic Settlement under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act

Alstom S.A., a French power and transportation company, has pleaded guilty to charges that it bribed government officials across Africa and Asia. The corresponding criminal penalty of more than $772 million is the ever assessed under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
