A Slide with No Ladder - Opportunity in Charlotte

Rory Fleming, a Research Assistant with the Poverty Center, reflects on our most recent visit to Charlotte. The subject matter of Rory's piece includes a Harvard study that placed Charlotete 50th out of 50 cities studied in terms of economic mobility, but the writing features a chance encounter with a dilapidated playground - featuring a slide without a ladder - that struck him in a profound way.
