Reflections Confession

After enjoying our delicious dinner at Mellow Mushroom and driving up the foggy, spaghetti-winded road we finally arrived to the cabin. We changed out of attorney-like attire and gathered in the game room for reflections.

Our first day in Boone, NC was comprised of orientation and helping our first clients. We tossed around a beach ball with reflections questions written on it, like “Was today what you expected?” and “What did you learn about yourself in client interviews?”

Overall, everyone was excited to be on the Spring Break Pro Bono trip. The consensus among the group was that meeting with the clients was not as difficult as we had expected. Moreover, we realized that creating the wills was not as challenging as we had originally though. Many members of the group enjoyed having helped someone plan for their future and leave with a legally executed document, which the client needed. Day One presented no frustrations and everyone was happy to have helped our first clients in Western North Carolina. We ended our reflection session in high spirits by writing down two goals for Day Two!
